Bathroom Remodeling

Our Kitchen Design-Build Process

The bathroom remodel process involves the systematic planning, design, and execution of improvements to enhance the functionality, aesthetics, and value of the kitchen space.

1. Consultation

The process begins with an initial consultation to assess client goals, budget, and design preferences.

2. Scope of Work

Following this, detailed measurements and site evaluations are conducted to develop design concepts, material selections, and layout plans that optimize space and workflow.

Site visit and measurements
Concept development and mood boards
Space planning and layout design
Material and finish selections
Cabinet, appliance, and lighting specifications
Preparation of final design drawings and presentation

3. Proposal and Contract

An itemized scope of work will be presented, specifying the cost of each component and the estimated timeline for completion. Upon mutual agreement of the scope, an initial deposit will be required, with subsequent payments due upon completion of each respective item.

Once designs are approved, permits (if required) are obtained, and demolition of existing elements begins. The construction phase includes structural modifications, electrical and plumbing updates, installation of cabinetry, countertops, flooring, lighting, and appliances. Throughout the process, quality control and progress inspections ensure adherence to safety standards, design specifications, and timelines

4. Final Walkthrough

The remodel concludes with a final walkthrough, where all work is reviewed with you to confirm satisfaction and address any adjustments or finishing touches. The goal of the kitchen remodel process is to deliver a durable, efficient, and visually appealing kitchen that meets the client’s lifestyle and long-term needs.

Overview of The Bathroom Remodel Process

Here is a step-by-step overview of the bathroom remodel process, from planning to finishing touches — whether you’re doing it yourself or hiring professionals:

1.  Planning & Design

Goal: Define what you want and how it will work within your space and budget.

Assess your needs: Who uses the bathroom, how often, and what’s not working now?
Set a budget: Include a 10–15% buffer for surprises (plumbing or structural issues).
Measure the space: Accurate dimensions are essential for layout and material planning.
Design layout: Decide whether to keep existing plumbing locations (cheaper) or move fixtures.
Choose style & materials: Pick your tile, vanity, fixtures, colors, lighting, and finishes.
Get permits (if needed): Required for plumbing, electrical, or structural changes.

2.  Demolition

Goal: Safely remove old fixtures and surfaces.

Turn off water and electricity.
Remove toilet, vanity, tub/shower, and old tile or drywall.
Dispose of debris properly (dumpster or local waste service).

3.  Rough In-Work (Plumbing & Electrical)

Goal: Update what’s behind the walls before rebuilding.

Replace or move plumbing for sinks, showers, and toilets.
Add or reposition electrical outlets, lights, or heated floor wiring.
Have all rough-in work inspected (if required).

4.  Structural & Drywall Work

Goal: Rebuild walls, floors, and framing.

Install or repair subfloor and backer boards (especially in wet zones).
Hang moisture-resistant drywall (green board) or cement board in shower areas.
Apply waterproofing membranes (like RedGard or Schluter Kerdi).

5.  Tile, Flooring & Paint

Goal: Rebuild walls, floors, and framing.

Install or repair subfloor and backer boards (especially in wet zones).
Hang moisture-resistant drywall (green board) or cement board in shower areas.
Apply waterproofing membranes (like RedGard or Schluter Kerdi).

6.  Fixture Installation

Goal: Bring in the visible elements.

Install vanity, sink, and faucet.
Mount toilet and shower fixtures.
Add lighting, mirrors, and towel racks.
Connect ventilation fan (very important for small bathrooms).

7.  Finishing Touches

Goal: Bring in the visible elements.

Install vanity, sink, and faucet.

Seal grout annually.
Use a squeegee in the shower to prevent mildew.
Check caulking periodically.
